Charged Hearts

The spectator 'plugs in' by lifting the bell jar and exciting the glass heart which then beats luminescently. Situated in the middle cabinet, the 'terrella' simultaneously excites. It begins the aurora borealis, a cathode ray tube stripped bare.

Brass, copper, glass, electronics, electrodes, electron guns, computer, luminescent gases, lights. 42 x 83 x 60 inches.
