Shroud / Chrysalis II The second Shroud/Chrysalis is a material and virtual memory of Shroud/Chrysalis I. It is a stereographic, full scale, print of the fully shrouded person in the wrapping performance of Shroud/Chrysalis I. The single point stereographic viewer stands like a lonely spectator at a distance from the artwork. When using this stereographic viewer the print image appears to lift off the table to be a three dimensional shroud. It’s a shroud in negative; a kind of interior visualization. What’s inside: dead, alive or post-human? The print can be exhibited solo or as an entr’acte in the Shroud/Chrysalis 1 performance. |
